The HFPE license replaces the home bakery license and allows more food products to be made, packaged, and processed at home. These businesses can sell homemade food directly to consumers or through other businesses.

HFPEs must list all homemade food items on their application and update their account when items are added or removed. Food not listed cannot be sold until added to the account.
