Your license may be audited at your renewal period. Audits confirm licensees meet the continuing education requirements. A random number of licensees are selected each month. If you are selected for an audit, you are notified at the end of the renewal process.

If you renew your license within the 30 days after it expires, your license is automatically audited. Submitting required continuing education documentation will complete the renewal process. Licensees that complete continuing education credit while inactive will subject their license to re-audit. This includes continuing education taken during the 30 days after your license has expired and any make-up credit.

Failure to submit documentation for an audit may result in disciplinary action.

If audited, submit any of the following that apply:

  • Documentation of completed Mandatory Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse Course.
  • Copies of certificates
  • Proof of attendance, including:
    • licensee name
    • course date
    • course title
    • awarded hours
    • provider approval information
    • provider accreditation information
