Virtual and in-person meetings offered July through October
The Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) House of Delegates adopted a policy in 2019 to create a task force, in conjunction with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy, to explore the need for a modernized Iowa Pharmacy Practice Act.
In the fall of 2020, a task force comprised of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians from a diverse array of practice backgrounds met and comprised an initial draft of a new definition of the "practice of pharmacy" in Iowa. Now, the crucial step begins on engaging pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists for feedback and input on the potential new pharmacy practice act.
To do so, IPA and the Board of Pharmacy will be hosting virtual and in-person town hall meetings across the state. Please join us to learn about the process, vision, and goal of this new draft and how you can help see it eventually enacted into law.
