Fee

The application fee is $72. The fee may be paid online. All application fees are nonrefundable.

Barbershop Location

Licenses may be issued to a stationary or a mobile location.  A barbershop license is issued for a specific location.  Note: A change in location will cancel the existing license and require application for a new license.

Mobile Barbershops: The license shall be issued for a permanent physical address.  The licensee is required to provide the address for board correspondence.

Other Information

Note: A barbershop license is not transferable. A change in ownership of a barbershop will cancel the existing license and require a new application.

Required Notifications to Board

Licensees are required to notify the board of changes in any of the following:

  • The owner of a stationary or mobile barbershop. Owners must report changes in telephone number, email address, and mailing address.
  • A change in the name of a barbershop.
  • Upon closure of a barbershop, the barbershop license shall be submitted to the board.
